A.- Under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), eligible employees are entitled to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for the birth and care of a newborn child. However, the FMLA does not require employers to provide paid leave.
Some states and localities have their own family leave laws that may require paid leave.
